Hardware Options

A comprehensive range of POS hardware

Retail Management Hero runs on many various hardware terminals including all-in-one EPOS systems, separates and tablets. We are partnered with the very best hardware manufacturers and can advise on all suitable options so you not only have a solution that performs but also looks great. You can now even choose to have your equipment supplied from a full palette of colours.

Minimum Hardware Requirements

It’s usually possible to run a couple of tills without the need for a server but the computer must meet the following minimum requirements.

Memory:
– Minimum: 4GB
– Recommended: >=8GB
Processor:
– Minimum: Intel i3 or similar
– Recommended: Intel i5 or higher

If you are planning to have more than two tills then we would recommend a dedicated server to host the SQL Server database.

Recommended Peripherals

In addition to the computer you will also need the following auxiliary devices to complete your EPOS system.

  • Touchscreen monitor
  • Cash drawer
  • Customer display unit
  • Receipt printer
  • Barcode scanner
  • Keyboard and mouse
  • Uninterruptible power supply
  • Pin entry device
  • Label printer (optional)

We have an extensive range of hardware for all environments.

Customer Facing Screen Upgrade

Optionally you may wish to upgrade your customer display unit to a customer facing screen. This will provide you with a dynamic advertising space as half the screen can be used to rotate adverts. The other half displays the items and price as they are scanned into the point of sale.

Features and Benefits:

  • Display adverts to your customers as they are paying at the POS.
  • No ongoing costs except advert creation.
  • No need to worry about space as can be mounted on a pole.

Scales Integration

If you’re selling a lot of weighed items then this is definitely for you.

Our scales integration module allows you to simply put the items on the scale and press the associated item button on the POS screen. The system then takes the weight from the scale and enters it into the POS so your stock quantities are adjusted and the cost is automatically calculated. All you need is a price per unit setup against the item.

Features and Benefits:

  • Fully integrated solution.
  • Relatively low cost.
  • Can be used with several leading scale manufacturers.

Please let us know if you would like this added to your system.
